Make a Difference

We welcome donations at every level. The Libraries’ free services are an indulgence for some and a necessity for others. Your donation helps create quality opportunities and experiences for every one of the more than 900,000 annual visitors to Halifax Central Library.

A one-time donation of $50 will buy three new picture books to inspire children and adults for years to come.

Bookplates

For every $25 donation to the campaign you will receive a customized bookplate. Bookplates may be placed in any book, in any Halifax Public Libraries branch. Our collection is shared, so while you are donating to the Halifax Central Library Campaign, the collection moves and you are welcome to place a bookplate in any branch, or leave it to us to select something on your behalf.

Special Features

Special Features
Today’s library is not only about books. It is an extended community - a place to connect and socialize. Like the Martin family, many users spend their time building with LEGO®, watching movies, and playing with puppets.

Charitable receipts will be issued for gifts of $10 or more.
